New Years resolutions are right around the corner, but I urge you to splurge before you become a health conscious gym rat. If you do end up sticking to that resolution, I doubt you will be eating a box of Girl Scout Cookies come March. So why not make your own right now?
Samoas cookies are by far my favorite. The toasted coconut, caramel, and chocolate combination is the best arrangement of flavors offered by the Girl Scouts of America. Having such strong feelings towards these cookies I decided to try and make my own. I am going to tell you now that this is a very tedious recipe. I will attempt to bake them again and hopefully figure out a more humane way of making them. Until then, this recipe will suffice. These Samoas cookies are still equally delicious as the ones made by the Girl Scouts. Just make sure to set aside a few hours to bake these treats and clean up the mess!
