Happy autumn, everyone! My fur baby Hudson loved his New England summer and I am so excited to show him how fall is done up north. The next couple months will be packed with some fun and easy hikes in Connecticut.
Since moving back from Charlotte, North Carolina, in May, Hudson and I have been exploring the Northeast. It started with taking Hudson on his first swim in the ocean, followed by barbecues and picnics where I treated Hudson to his favorite dog treats, Pup-Peroni Jerky Bites.
These bites are made with real meat as the first ingredient that leaves Hudson barking, “Woof yeah!” He’s a fan of both the beef and pork flavors. I love giving them to him because they are made with premium ingredients and Huddy deserves the best. I keep some in my car for our adventures!
With Pup-Peroni Jerky Bites in hand, I will take Hudson hiking this fall and possibly plan a few picnics on the trail. So while I’m enjoying trail mix and my own homemade jerky, Hudson will be snacking on his own Jerky Bites too!
I love having this bonding time with Hudson. We both enjoy exploring the outdoors, which will be beautiful this time of year with the New England foliage. If you’re from the Connecticut area, check out these easy hikes…
- Mohegan Lake (Fairfield, CT, dogs can swim here!)
- West Hartford Reservoir (West Hartford, CT)
- Devil’s Den (Weston, CT)
- Giant Steps Trail (New Haven, CT)
- Bear Mountain (Salisbury, CT)
Peak foliage in the Connecticut area is the last two weeks of October so plan accordingly. There are also plenty of farm stands along the CT roads for you to pick up a peck of apples to bake with!
If you’re taking your four-legged family member on a hike, be sure to pick up a bag of Pup-Peroni Jerky Bites too. He/she will thank you!
