Chocolate Mousse (6 Ingredients)

This light, airy, rich and flavorful chocolate mousse is made with just 6 simple ingredients!

Pro Tip: Gather the ingredients before you get started to save some time.

Prepare 3 separate bowls of mixtures.

First, melt chocolate and butter together in the microwave.

In a 2nd bowl, use an electric mixer to whip egg whites and sugar on high speed until peaks form.

In a 3rd bowl, use an electric mixer to beat heavy cream on high until peaks form.

Fold in lightly beaten egg yolks with a rubber spatula.

Don't over mix!

Next fold in the melted chocolate.

Fold in about 1/3 of the beaten egg whites into the chocolate mixture.

Now add the remaining egg white mixture to the bowl.

Fold in just until uniform in color.

Divide mixture into 4 small glasses or jars.

Chill uncovered for at least 4 hours.

Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
