Homemade Dinner Rolls

First, whisk warm milk, yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer.

Let the yeast mixture sit for five minutes.

Next, add 1 cup flour, butter, egg, salt and remaining sugar. Mix until combined.

Add the remaining flour and knead on medium speed for 4 to 5 minutes. Dough should be soft and not sticky.

Next, transfer dough to an oiled bowl and turn the dough until it is lightly coated with oil

Let the dough rise for about two hours until it has doubled in size.

Cut the dough into quarters and cut each quarter into four pieces. Use your hand to shape the dough into balls

Place the rolls in an oiled pan and let them rise for an hour.

Finally, preheat oven to 350 F. Bake rolls for 20 to 24 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with melted butter.
