Homemade Dinner Rolls

Homemade dinner rolls are easy to make and turn out fluffy and soft. The perfect recipe for Thanksgiving or any holiday meal!

Pro Tip: Gather ingredients before getting started!

First, make the dough.

Whisk milk, yeast, and sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer. Rest for 5 minutes.

Add 1 cup of flour, butter, egg, salt, and sugar.

Mix the dough, add remaining flour, and knead for 4 to 5 minutes.

Time for the first proof!

Transfer dough to an oiled bowl, and lightly roll to coat the dough in oil.

Cover and proof for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, until the dough doubles in size.

Cut and shape the dough into balls. Then place in a well greased pan and cover.

Now for the second proof!

Let the covered rolls rise for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350 F. Bake the rolls for 20 to 24 minutes, until golden brown.
