Lemon Pound Cake with Icing

This dense and citrusy Lemon Pound Cake melts in your mouth! It's an easy recipe to make, with a simple icing for extra sweetness.

Gather all of your ingredients before getting started to save some time.

Preheat oven to 350F. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.

In another bowl rub together sugar and lemon zest.

Add butter and mix until light and fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time.

Then mix in the sour cream, lemon juice and vanilla extract.

Now add flour mixture to the wet ingredients...

...Mix until just combined.

Transfer batter to the loaf pan.

Bake for 50-60 minutes.

Cool the loaf and whisk together the glaze ingredients.

Pour glaze evenly over the loaf.

Slice and serve!
