Tip: Gather all ingredients before getting started to save some time!

Preheat oven to 350° F and line a muffin pan.

Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl.

Cream together butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl.

Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Then beat in the vanilla.

In a medium bowl whisk together 1/2 cup moscato and 1/2 cup sour cream.

The mixture will fizz and bubble a bit!

With the mixer on low, gradually add the flour mixture in 3 parts, alternating with the moscato mixture...

...So it goes: Flour, moscato, flour, moscato, flour. Mix batter until smooth.

Fill baking cups 3/4 of the way full. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Then cool on a wire rack.

Meanwhile, make the frosting. In a medium saucepan simmer 1 cup of pink moscato until it reduces to 2 tablespoons. Transfer to a bowl to cool.

Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl. Pour in moscato and mix well.

Frost the cooled cupcakes and add sprinkles, if you like!
