Super Soft Red Velvet Heart Sandwich Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting

To save time, measure all of your ingredients and get everything prepped.

Meanwhile, with a stand or hand mixer, cream together the brown and white sugars along with butter. The texture should be fluffy.

Next, beat in the vanilla and red food coloring until well incorporated.

Add as much red as you would like!

Pour the dry ingredients into the the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Make sure it is nice and smooth.

Using a tablespoon or ice cream scoop, scoop some of cookie dough and roll it into small balls. Place the cookie dough balls on a baking sheet 1-2" apart to prevent them from becoming misshaped.

Bake the cookies 8-10 minutes, then remove them from the oven. Allow the cookies to cool. Prepare the cream cheese frosting (recipe on site!), then pipe it unto an even layer on the cooled cookies.
