Strawberry Cobbler

This strawberry cobbler recipe is made with fresh strawberries and a dough topping. Enjoy this delicious summer dessert with vanilla ice cream!

Step #1 - Make the fresh strawberry cobbler filling.

Gather ingredients and preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Toss the berries with sugar, cornstarch and salt in a bowl.

Then add lemon juice and lemon zest.

Pour the filling into a baking dish.

Bake for 15 minutes, until bubbly.

Step #2 - Make the cobbler dough.

Whisk the dry ingredients together in one bowl, and the wet ingredients in another bowl.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients

Mix just until combined to form a rough dough.

Use a scoop to portion dough.

Remove filling from oven and increase temp to 425 F.

Shape dough into discs and place on the strawberries.

Sprinkle sugar on top of the dough.

Bake the cobbler for 15 to 18 minutes, until golden.
