Strawberry Cupcakes

These strawberry cupcakes are made with plenty of strawberry flavor, then are topped with strawberry cream cheese frosting.

Gather ingredients and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.

Preheat oven to 350° degrees F.

Whisk together the dry ingredients and set aside.

Cream the butter and sugar with an electric mixer.

Then add the eggs...

...And beat in vanilla.

Alternate adding the dry mixture...

...And the buttermilk. Mix until combined.

Stir in the fresh strawberries.

Divide the batter among cupcake liners. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes

Cool the strawberry cupcakes completely while you make the strawberry cream cheese frosting.

Gather the frosting ingredients.

Beat cream cheese and butter together.

Add the freeze-dried strawberries, confectioners' sugar.

Add vanilla and salt, then mix again.

Transfer frosting to frosting bags and frost the cupcakes. Garnish with fresh strawberries.
