Homemade Carrot Cake Recipe

This carrot cake recipe with a rich cream cheese frosting makes the most moist, tender, and flavorful cake!

Preheat the oven to 350° and grease 2 or 3 cake pans.

In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and spices.

In a large bowl beat together sugars, wet ingredients, and eggs.

Stir flour mixture into the wet ingredients.

Then stir in the shredded carrot.

Divide the batter evenly between 2 or 3 greased cake pans.

Bake for 28-30 minutes, until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

Cool for 10 minutes in the pan. Remove and continue to cool on a wire rack.

Meanwhile, beat the cream cheese frosting ingredients together in a large bowl.

Assemble the cake with layers of frosting, and decorate.
