For dippers, graham crackers are a classic! You can also try nilla wafers, Oreo cookies, crackers, pretzels or fresh fruit.
Helpful tips for this recipe
Place the cast iron skillet in the oven while it preheats. This will make the pan hot so the chocolate starts to melt early on. Grease the pan with butter. Clean up will be so much easier. Trust me. Cut the marshmallows in half. You can do this easily with kitchen scissors. The marshmallows will stick to the chocolate and not over puff and make a mess.

First you need ingredientsโchocolate chips, marshmallows, and graham crackersโthe basics. A tablespoon of butter will be helpful too as it will prevent the marshmallows from sticking to the skillet. In other words, it will make clean up easier!
Grease an 8-inch iron skillet with butter. Sprinkle chocolate chips or chopped chocolate across the bottom of the pan. Cut regular-sized marshmallows in half and layer them (cut-side down) over the chocolate chips. Bake and enjoy with graham crackers!

Yes. If that chocolate has started to harden, place the skillet back in the oven at 350 F for 5 minutes until reheated. The marshmallows will not be as puffy so I do not recommend doing this more than once.

Thanks for sharing at Fiesta Friday 179 – this looks very naughty but nice!
Could you make this in something other than a cast iron skillet, like a glass pie dish or baking dish? Thank you!
Hi! Yes, you certainly can if it is a similar size. Make sure you grease the pan since the marshmallows are sticky!
This was delicious! My family loved this and I think heating the skillet up before is a great tip!
I made this last night an it was the bomb! instead of the gram cracker I used cookies. best idea EVER! THANK you so much for this recipe!
This is a great and smart idea! I live in an apartment so I can’t make traditional S’mores right now, so this dip is perfect. I used a 6 inch skillet instead (which is perfect for 2) and I had to eyeball the chocolate chips instead. Such a simple and delicious recipe!
I tried making this tonight and the chocolate ended up seizing on me. Not sure what I did wrong, but Iโm willing to try again another time since it looks just too darn yummy!
No cast iron skillet. Anything else work?
You can use a glass or ceramic baking dish. Be sure to grease the dish with butter first.
